"From Sea to Shining Sea"

Happy belated 4th of July! We had a great time this fourth.....didn't do much but we still had fun! We started the morning with a parade in our neighborhood. I decided the night before that I would make a float for the parade. I mean there were prizes to be won people, so who wouldn't want to make a float?? So on my way home from work I picked up my "supplies" that I needed to make this award winning float (remember, the night before). After we put the boys to bed my mother-in-law and I started this project....I think it was around 8pm. We worked for 2 solid hours, and the end product was just how I envisioned it.

No prizes were won...although I think we were jipped!! Our float rocked and I think we should have placed 1st in all categories...including the costume category even though my kids weren't in a costume...but hey, do they really need costumes when they're so cute?? Not really.

I think that float is awesome. Totally original.

My float won, and I think think yours was much cuter! Save all the stuff and next year we'll put the boys in costume; I'm sure you'll have a winner then.

Alexis, How is it that you didn't bring this up at Home Team? I feel like you're holding out on us. :) I had no idea that you were hiding such creativity.

If there was a cutest kids contest, you would TOTALLY win!
