Most of you know that I ride the bus to work....I know what you're thinking "the bus?" "how scary is that". Not to worry, it's a commuter bus (like Greyhound)so it's not like I'm riding the city bus with the homeless people. I'm been riding the bus now for 5 months...in that 5 months I have seen a lot of interesting (if that's what you call it) people. So I wanted to share with you the different types of people who ride the bus!
1. The sleeper: A majority of people who ride the bus sleep, which is fine... until you fall asleep on my shoulder. Seriously, that happened to me with this lady sitting next to me. When she woke up she apologized over and over again. I kind of laughed and told her it was okay, but inside I was thinking "don't let it happen again, lady!" Then of course you have the sleeper who snores and you can hear them through out the bus!
2. The excessive talker/laugher: Cell phones are great items, except when you talk really loud on a bus full of people. I sat by this one guy coming home the other day and he talked on his phone the ENTIRE bus ride (it's about 45-50 min.). Not only did he talk really loudly, but whoever he was talking to must have been REALLY funny b/c he couldn't stop laughing! How annoying! I'm fine with people talking on their phones but I don't want to feel like I'm a part of the conversation. And finally...
3. The drinker: Crazy, but I sat by a guy (probably in his 50's) one morning who reeked of alcohol! He had scrubs on, so I'm pretty sure he worked in a hospital (since most of the people I ride with work in hospitals). It was a bit disturbing to say the least! And we're not talking the old alcohol smell that people have after a late night of drinking...we're talking fresh alcohol smell! I was trying to see his work badge so I could make a mental note to not go to that hospital if I get sick!
So these are a few of the types of people that I ride the bus with...just thought I'd share!

I laughed outloud on these...hilarious! I can only imagine! It makes me really appreciate the privacy and nice smell of my own car. Hang in there!
I remember the train to downtown Chicago being just like that. People are really strange. All except you and me of course.
