I have to give Houston credit for the beautiful flowers they have this time of year! The Azaleas are absolutely gorgeous and they are everywhere! I guess hot, humid weather is perfect for them! Too bad I'm not a flower!
As for the "not so pretty things".....just a little background on me first....I grew up with one sister, no brothers, and lived in a household where you did not talk about bodily functions! And heaven for bid should you burp or pass gas, then you better say "excuse me" and try not to do that in public at all!! So having a boy has taught me alot about how different boys and girls are! I'm talking about how different boys and girls are from BIRTH....not necessarily how different they become later on in life, but the things they are born "knowing how to do". For example, Graham can make the best car sounds and I sure didn't teach him that. When I make car or siren sounds he looks at me like "what the heck is that supposed to be mommy"? Well, Graham has started telling us when he toots or burbs...the other day we were playing with his trains and he toots and says "I toot, mommy"...I ignore him...he says again a little louder..."I toot, mommy"....I tell him "Say excuse me"....he says "excuse me"! Then this weekend he burped and said "I burp mommy"....then he starts pretending to burp over and over again! How does he already know how to pretend burp! UGH! It's only downhill from now on! Next he'll be making obscene noises with his armpits at church! I need to have a girl next to keep me sane!
Of course Mick thinks all of this is funny!! BOYS!

Alexis,
Boys make girls "seem" civilized. They really aren't, they just look like they are by comparison.
Classic. I can't wait to hear the armpit noises behind us.
oh, if it makes you feel any better, ashlyn does the fake burps, too. it must be from being around those "boys" at her school-ha. at least she does say, "excuse me." i grew up with brothers so i guess i'm just used to it all. and she also loves to announce when she toots. kids...gotta love them.
