"Steve" you're the best!!

Steve? You're probably wondering who I know named Steve?? Well, that would be my son. What you're probably thinking is...I thought his name was Graham? Funny story this weekend....the 3 of us were driving to Target on Saturday and I asked Graham what his name was (I just like to hear him say "Graham Hunter Kennedy")and he said "Steve". I looked at him kind of funny and I said "Steve Hunter Kennedy"? "NO, just Steve" is what his response was!! Hilarious!! He just cracked up laughing! Then everytime I called him Graham he corrected me and said "Steve".

Mick and I got to thinking about this later and got kind of nervous....what if this is another personality? What if sometimes he will be "Steve" and other times "Graham"? We're a little worried!! What will he tell his teacher at school on Wednesday? What do I put on his lunch box? Do I get "Steve" or "Graham" monogramed on the backpack? Oh the things you have to think about when your son has multiple personalities!! Just being a two year old gives you multiple personalities....I just didn't think most kids have other names for them!! :)

Whoever he is today, I love him so much!! We had to take him to a "backup" daycare today b/c his new school is closed for a teacher inservice. The backup daycare is offered through my work and it is sooooo nice! He just walked right in and said "I want to play". The teacher looked at me and said "is this his first time here?" When I told her yes she was SO surprised that he wasn't screaming and kicking when I left. He just said "I want a hug and kiss mommy" (our little ritual every morning when I drop him off at school). What a big boy he is!!

Graham, Steve, whoever you are today....I love you more than you will ever know! I am so proud of the little boy you are becoming. I am so happy to be your mommy! (of course last night when you were screaming in the bath I wanted to give you away, but today I want to keep you).
