There's a runny joke in my family that I have been searching for a hobby to buy for years! I've never really had a hobby...school has always been my "hobby". When I wasn't working I would do school work....so when I finished school I found myself wanting to find something else to do with my time. I would tell my family that I was going to go shopping to look for a hobby......well, I think I found my hobby!! My mother-in-law gave me one of her old sewing machines when we got married, but I hadn't tried it out until this Christmas. I have only made a few things (very simple things), but I have really enjoyed it! So the pictures are of my recent projects. The ribbon on the curtains look yellow in the picture, but it is really a light green color.
Funny story about the pillow. I made Graham a pillow to take to school, after I saw that all the other kids had pillows to sleep with and Graham only had a blanket! So I thought I would be cute and make him a "seasonal" pillow case. Well, he didn't care for it too much...her threw it on the floor and said "I don't waaaaant that one" "I want my train one". His previous pillow case was a cute train material that he loved! So after I convinced him that the pillow was "good luck" because of the four leaf clovers on it he agreed to take it to school. His teacher told me that he was telling everyone at nap time that the pillow was good luck! Very cute!
I know most of you reading this aren't very interesting in my sewing, but I know that my mom and mother-in-law will be impressed! I'm just happy I don't have to search for a hobby anymore!

No. I'm just waiting for you to progree to high fashion. Or for you to start testing menswear and making Mick wear it to school.
I meant progress. Your husband is mean.
I am soooo impressed! I can't wait to have time to sew again. Love the curtains...I want to learn to make some of those - good work!
