One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish!

This is an update from a few weeks ago when we took Graham to the Houston aquarium. We thought that it would be fun to take him to see some fish! He actually had a good time, but we were a little disappointed...here's why. So we were walking through the aquarium and it had only been about 20 min. or so..... Graham was still having a good time.....we weren't tired (no one had thrown themselves on the floor screaming), and we get to the white tiger exhibit...I know what you're thinking....TIGERS at the aquarium??? That's what we thought. Weird huh? So I turn around to look for the next hall to go down (to continue our aquarium adventure) and I see this doorway that says "Aquarium exit"....hmmm, yep, it was the end of the exhibit! I looked at Mick and said "are you kidding me"! We went through the exit into the gift shop and then proceeded outside to the carnival they have as part of your aquarium experience! What? You don't think aquariums and carnivals go together? Well neither did we! So we went to the shark exhibit they had as part of the "carnival experience"....this consisted of you getting on a train ride that took you around the corner to this tunnel where they had the shark tank. They stopped the train and let you look at the sharks (the tank also went above your head, so you could see them above you)....they played this little tape that told you about the types of sharks you were seeing....pretty cool except that when the train started up again I thought we were just moving on to the next part of the shark exhibit...wrong! That was the end of it! We were not impressed with the Houston Aquarium to say the least! Oh well, at least Graham had fun! Here are a few pictures from the event!

Hi Alexis, Sorry Graham was sick! I was just reading your blog about the Aquarium. I wish I could have talked to you first. I could have warned you! Craziness. And it is like $16 a person! Houston is not good for a zoo or aquairum...but the Children's museum is awesome!
