So it's bad enough when your kid gets bitten at daycare, but to have your child be the biter! That is where my lecturing begins...do you think he's too young for lectures? I don't think so! When I picked Graham up from school yesterday his teacher told me that he bit another kid on the arm today. I almost fell on the floor! Graham has always been the good kid in class...only been to time-out a couple of times, but has never been a biter! So when we got in the car I turned the radio off and began my lecture. Here's a little bit of our conversation...
Me: Graham, what did you do at school today?
Graham: Went down the slide and went weeeeeee!
Me: What else did you do?
Graham: I bit Jackson.
Me: Why did you bite Jackson?
Graham: He was mean.
Me: That makes mommy very sad when you bite. Did it make Jackson cry?
Graham: yes (in a low voice). I go to time out.
Me: I don't want you to bite. It makes mommy very sad.
Graham: My doggie go to time out too...(holding his puppy).
Me: Why?
Graham: he bit Jackson. Jackson crying.
Me: I don't like it when Graham and doggie bite!
Graham: you sad mommy?
Me: yes
We'll see if my "being sad" works today! I will not have a child who bites! I know some of you who have children can relate! HELP!

i'm always glad that when i pick up ashlyn from day care that she was the "bitee" and not the biter! about 2 weeks ago, however, i found out that she bit her teacher for no reason! it's never too late for lectures.
