How that statement is so true for our family today!! I stole the picture above from Andrea's website b/c I thought it was so fitting for how I truly feel these days! Things started to fall apart Saturday when we were at Target just looking around. We get a phone call from our landlord saying that someone wanted to lease our house (the one we're in now) starting on May 1st. Sounds good except that we now have about a week and a half to move! UGH!! But Mick and I thought to ourselves "no problem, we can do it"....that was until we woke up Sunday morning. Mick was sick so we decided to stay home from church and pack a little. I went to Starbucks to get my coffee (yes, I'm drinking coffee while pregnant! Yes, it is decaf! And yes, I know that decaf still has caffeine in it!) and I picked Graham up the wrong way....and you guessed it! Threw my back out! Fun times! So we decided that I could still pack up the car with little things and take one load of stuff over to our new house. I wish I had taken a picture of how pitiful we looked moving. I could barely lift a blanket without my back hurting and Mick looked miserable. Thankfully Graham was so good and played with his toys while we packed. So we got one load of stuff over to the house and decided to take the rest of the day "off" so we could relax and get better.
Monday comes around and my back is worse, Mick is somewhat better, and we still have to move by May 1st! My back is hurting so badly that Mick has to put my socks on because I can't bend over to do it myself...and being pregnant doesn't help either. Yesterday Mick and one of his friends from school take over 2 loads of stuff from our house, so that is progress! I call my OB to see if there is something stronger I can take for my back pain besides Tylenol and they called me back to say "you can take Extra strength Tylenol". Wonderful (sense the sarcasm?) ! Today we get up, get ready for work and go out to move our cars and my car is having trouble starting. Great! This is all we need. Luckily it started after a few tries and Mick took it to a mechanic on his way to work to have it looked examined. The "damage" is still unknown...hopefully it is a minor thing.
Oh, and did I mention that Mick starts his finals next week? I think Mick is a little stressed! He's having to pack us, move us, study, and now deal with a car that is having problems. I can only think of a few things that would make this situation worse...1) If it were August and 2) If this baby boy decides to come early!!
Please keep us in your prayers. We need all of them this week! I am getting a massage today, so hopefully that will help my back, and Mick will have time tonight to study for his finals. Oh, and Mick's Dad has graciously offered to come down next week to help us move! What a life saver! If we can just make it through this next week......

I'd offer to keep Graham for you, but I don't think the commute would work so well!
Hope it works out ok.
Have you tried a chiropractor for your back? I went every week during my pregnancy and it did wonders!
Man, that sounds horrible! Good thing that you found a place to live first though. Imagine them kicking you out with no place to go. God always provides. I hope that you feel better soon. I also did chiropract-y (ha) and helped mine a lot too. Try that next. Wishing I was there to help !
I sooooo wish I didn't have to work! These are the times I resent not being independently wealthy. Hang in there - this too shall pass.
I've been praying for you guys. In a week it will all be over, except then you have to UNpack! Oh, and you'll still be pregnant. Haha, but at least you'll be in a new house in plenty of time for baby Kennedy #2...who STILL needs a name! Love you guys!
