We went to check on Graham the other night and this is what we found...he had put his woobies (or lovies as some people call them) on his feet! Silly boy!
"Tummy time is soooo overrated...I think I'll take a little nap"
Yesterday was not a good day. I think that Harrison is having a growth spurt because he isn't lasting 3 hours between feedings...which is frustrating at night (especially since last week he was sleeping almost 5 hours between feedings at night). Then to top it off he was awake 80% of the day, so I didn't get a nap. And those of you who know me well, know that I don't do well with little sleep. I keep telling myself that he's only 6 weeks old, but it's still frustrating. On a positive note, our evenings have been better the past couple of nights...not nearly as much screaming! Yea! Harrison is starting to smile and "talk". I've been trying to get a picture of him smiling, but keep missing it! I'll try again tomorrow.
Graham has said some funny things lately. Last night we were talking about camping and he said "that's where you make sNores". I said do you mean sMores? He said "yes, sNores". Everything lately is "yesterday". If it really happened 2 months ago he will say "remember when we went to see Mimi yesterday?" or "remember when I played with that toy yesterday"...the boy has no concept of time! Mick has started letting Graham watch Star Wars...and boy does Graham like them! Mick can't wait until the boys can play "Star Wars" with him. I am so out numbered! What about Strawberry shortcake and My Little Pony?
I am officially half way through my maternity leave. I will be ready to go back by the time September comes around! I love my children, but I also love my job. I think working makes me a better mom....especially because of the type of job I have....I'm very thankful for healthy kids.
Yesterday started "Operation Bye-Bye Baby Fat". I went to the doctor and she gave me the "OK" to start working out again, so yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in what seems like a year. I only did 30 min. of cardio, but it felt more like 2 hours. And I'm a little sore today...(this might be a slight understatement)
Mick is finishing up his internship and will start school again in about 3 weeks...I can NOT believe this is his last sememster! Crazy! I thought this day would never come!

Don't you think it is ironic that you have a "Teach your child to sleep" Google link on your site today. I am glad that evenings are better, and maybe he will move out of his growth spurt soon. Hope you all enjoy your last few weeks of "summer" and family time.
I believe Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony is at my house. Along with Barbie, Disney Princesses, Cabbage Patch Kids, Care Bears, and Littlest Pet Shop. And if I can help it no Hannah Montana.
Hang in there, Alexis...it does get easier! You'll be laughing about it all in a few weeks!
Thankfully the good days out number the bad days!
