One thing's for sure.....

....I will NOT win the Mother of the Year award! Every night Harrison is fussy, so I decided that I would try to take him for a walk in the stroller (hoping it would put him to sleep)....Plus I thought it would also give me a chance to start working out again. Well, last night after Graham went to bed I got Harrison ready in the stroller and headed out for our walk. Before I left Mick said "I'd probably take an umbrella in case it starts to rain" (see where this is going?). Due to Hurricane Dolly we have been getting alot of rain, but when I started the walk it didn't look like it was going to rain....SO, I didn't bring an umbrella. Wouldn't you know it, about 15 min. into our walk it started to rain, Harrison is crying, and I don't know exactly where I am (I was walking in a new neighborhood and got turned around). Now mind you I haven't worked out in about 3 months...but I couldn't just stand there, so I decided to "run" (more like jog slowly) to avoid getting drenched. People driving by are staring at me...I couldn't decide if they were staring because they couldn't believe I had my 6 week old out in the rain, or if it was because my "running" was funny to watch. Finally we got home wet, sore, and awake! Oh well, maybe we'll try again tomorrow.

I am cracking up! That is hilarious! You need to start slow ... like me ... just go around the block once. That is plenty of a work out after having a baby, especially in this heat! Thanks for the laugh, I feel your pain!

I can't decide what is funnier...you trying to run in the rain, or picturing Harrison soaking wet (and not being "sleepy" after his walk)! Haha, maybe next time you should listen to Mick when he says you might want to bring an umbrella!!!
